1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Chinho (“the Platform”), operated by ELITE Research Lab at Independent University, Bangladesh, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
2. Description of Service
Chinho is a research-grade data annotation platform for Bangla AI. Users (“Annotators”) complete tasks such as comparing AI responses, recording voice samples, labeling sentiment, annotating named entities, and collecting slang. Annotators are compensated at per-task rates displayed before each task begins.
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree not to: share your account, use automation or bots, submit deliberately low-quality or fabricated work, copy or redistribute task content, or attempt to circumvent quality controls. Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination.
4. Payments and Payouts
Task rates are displayed before you start each task. Earnings accumulate in your account balance. You may request a payout once your balance reaches ৳100. Payouts are processed to your registered bKash or Nagad mobile number within 24 hours. ELITE Research Lab reserves the right to withhold payment for work that is determined to be fraudulent or in violation of these terms.
5. Intellectual Property and Data Ownership
All annotations, voice recordings, and other data you produce on the Platform become the intellectual property of ELITE Research Lab. This data may be used to create datasets that are licensed to research institutions and commercial partners. Datasets are anonymized — your personal information is never included. You retain no rights to the annotations or recordings after submission. You are compensated for your work at the per-task rate shown.
6. Content Moderation
All user submissions are subject to review. Content that is offensive, fraudulent, or violates community guidelines may be rejected. Accounts that repeatedly submit inappropriate content will be suspended. Tasks involving hate speech detection require labeling provided content — this does not authorize the creation of hateful content.
7. Account Termination and Deletion
You may request deletion of your account at any time through the dashboard settings. Upon deletion, your personal data (email, name, payment details) will be permanently removed. However, anonymized annotations and voice recordings already included in delivered datasets cannot be recalled or deleted. ELITE Research Lab may also terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided “as is.” ELITE Research Lab makes no warranties regarding availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ELITE Research Lab is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Platform.
